Forest Bathing at Lime Kiln Point State Park
Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Community event · San Juan Island
Join Kathy Jacobson, Washington State Park Interpretive Specialist and forest lover, to “bathe” in the peaceful Madrona Forest of Lime Kiln Point State Park.
Shinrin-Yoku is a Japanese term which means 'taking in the forest atmosphere'. Join park staff for a slow stroll on a quiet, mile-long trail (with a steady incline) and enjoy sensory activities to experience the forest and learn how being in nature helps to restore mental and physical health.
Our Forest Bathing experience will conclude with tea from the forest.
Best for ages 12 and up. Please dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and consider bringing along trekking poles if you have them.
Please send an email to emily.herman@parks.wa.gov to register for this event or for more information.
